About Glenna Ellen McKenzie
I have a passion for photography, especially wedding and travel photography. I am a Charleston, SC native.
My passion for photography started at a younge age, when in the 5th grade I won my first camera for selling
World's Finest Chocolate. I loved that camera, but it doesn't even compare to my Canon 5D Mark II.
The year after that my parents moved me from the suburbs out to the sticks where they decided to run
an old rice plantation as a bed and breakfast. I started working weddings on the property. During that time,
I decided that I love weddings. I adore how beautiful and peaceful the country is,
but couldn't wait to get back to civilization.
So, here I am in Charleston doing what I love. I started capturing weddings in 2000 and opened my own photography company in 2006 (originally named Red Room Studio). My photography gear has drastically improved from that first camera, but I still get that giddy feeling as I slip into "the zone" taking pictures.
